What is BS 8577?
BS 8577 is the British Standard for the provision of financial advice and planning services. It provides a framework for how financial planning businesses should be managed and operated, with good practice embedded throughout the organisation.
It covers important areas of running a financial planning business, including:
Business management: How we lead, organise and review the business.
Client relationships: How we manage our service and support you throughout your financial planning journey.
Information management: How we manage documents, records and confidential information.
Our people: How we recruit, train and support the ongoing development of our team.
Business resilience: How we manage risks, external suppliers and plans for business continuity.
These are the foundations that help us provide a consistent service and continue meeting your needs as they develop.
What does this mean for you?
Good financial planning involves more than the conversations you have with your financial planner. There is a whole team, supported by established systems and processes, working behind the scenes.
Our BS 8577 certification gives you additional reassurance that these arrangements have been independently assessed against a recognised British Standard.
