Michelle is an accomplished business leader with over 25 years’ experience in financial services, specialising in operational excellence, standards, and business performance. She is the Founder and Head of Business Development at Standards International and founder of the Business and Operations Management Network (BOMS), supporting adviser firms in the UK and internationally.
Michelle has developed globally recognised certification schemes and initiatives aligned to ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17024, helping firms strengthen governance, systems, and processes with integrity and measurable standards. Through her ‘Excellence by Design™’ programme, she also champions Business and Operations professionals, providing practical frameworks that help firms perform at their best.
Michelle supports Fell Financial Planning as we embed BS 8577, bringing structure, clarity, and a continual improvement mindset to how we operate and serve clients.
Out of work, Michelle loves spending quality time with her husband Stuart, her dog Marley, and her daughter Ruby -whether that’s travelling somewhere inspiring, hosting something special at home, or simply making space for wellbeing and connection together.
